This image caught us completely by surprise.  As we stumbled along the trail to Helen Lake, (the trailhead begins somewhere almost at Jasper), we discovered a burnt out forest fire grove.   The white bark and black charring on the trees were in stark contrast to the colorful new growth and wildflowers that surrounded the tree bases.  Mother nature is truly amazing to create such beauty from something so devastating.
